Favorite childhood memory?
Making Duncan Hines box cakes with my mom and eating them in front of the TV, while watching the Carol Burnett Show.
Recent memory?
Tori brought the kids to the gym where I train, Bas Rutten’s Elite MMA, in Westlake Village. I was in the cage with my trainer—and I see Finn, who is seven months old; holding onto the cage with his two hands, shaking it and yelling, “Gaawwaawaawa!”
Part of being a Dad?
My favorite part of being a dad is all the firsts. The first words, the first solid food, first steps, first lost tooth… first broken nose.
Advice for your son?
Never be afraid of anything. Don’t let fear stop you from trying new things.
HOME
Favorite room in your house?
I have a whole new perspective and appreciation for the bathroom. It’s a quiet place to truly be alone with my thoughts. I even have a funky Kohler toilet that plays music, has calming lights, a bidet, and dryer. Sometimes, I just go there and hang out.
Guilty pleasure you don’t do often enough?
My Fav guilty pleasure is going to the race track (motorcycle) for a track day with the boys.
Car?
My fav car that I own is my 1973 International Scout II. My favorite car I don’t have is a 1966 Pontiac GTO.
Pet?
Our four-year old bearded dragon named Princess. She’s a boy. Stella named her because everyone thought she was a girl, until her testicles grew in.
FASHION AND STYLE
Boxers or briefs?
I am convinced I have found the ultimate boxer brief. There is a company in Vancouver called Saxx and they make the best underwear ever.
Shirt?
John Varvatos cotton v-neck tees.
Shoes?
John Varvatos again. His boots, shoes, and even sandals are bad-ass and cool.
Hair Product?
Redken Rough Paste 12. It has great hold without feeling like you’ve put wood glue in your hair.
KITCHEN
Favorite cuisine?
My favourite cuisine has always been Italian.
Comfort food?
Fav comfort food is Chicken in the Pot. My other comfort food is Häagen-Dazs chocolate chocolate-chip ice cream.
Kitchen gadget?
My favorite kitchen gadget is a slap chopper.
Spice?
Fav spice is Cumin. I love the nutty, earthy, clean taste of it.
INSPIRATION
Who inspired you to get into cooking?
My Mother was my biggest inspiration in cooking. She was an amazing lady. The time we spent together cooking and burning things will always be close to my heart, and one of my fondest memories.

My good luck charms are my tattoos. Wherever I go I have my family with me.
Best advice from your Father?
Never put your finger where you can’t put your thumb.
Best advice from your Mother?
Don’t listen to your father.
